Introduction Policy

EG members may introduce up to two guests per occasion, a maximum of eight times per year, at a reduced introductory rate, provided they personally play with their guests. On Sundays, introductions are only permitted after 14:00.

Members introducing guests are kindly requested to contact the Caddiemaster in advance for an approximate tee time, as fixed tee times cannot be reserved. Guests must be sufficiently skilled golfers; the hosting EG member is responsible for the guest’s playing ability. Guests may play at EG a maximum of three times per year.

Youth

Children up to and including 21 years of age, in possession of a valid NGF card and a maximum handicap of 24.0, are welcome to play at EG up to three times per year at a fee of €10 if they are members of a golf club with its own course, or €45 if they are not.

A maximum of four youth players per day will be admitted, subject to course availability and at the discretion of the Caddiemaster.

  • 2 short signals = resume play
  • 3 short signals = waterlogging/poor visibility, finish the hole, then seek shelter
  • 6 short signals = play fully suspended / course closed
  • 3 short + 1 long = shotgun start

Note: a short signal lasts 6 seconds, a long signal 10 seconds.

Shelters are located near the tees of holes 4, 5, 7, 9, 12, 15, and 16.

Smoke-Free Policy

EG is a smoke-free sports club. This means that the entire premises are non-smoking, except for the terrace and the bench in front of the Caddiemaster’s office. Please be mindful of others and avoid causing any nuisance.

Caddiemaster

All players must report to the Caddiemaster and follow their instructions at all times.

Pitch Marks and Divots

Repairing them is everyone’s responsibility.

Please respect the rules for the use of the EGA, the outdoor practice facilities, the water feature, and the short course.

Pace of Play / Playing Through

“Slow play is not okay!” Keeping a good pace ensures enjoyment for everyone.
